The Art of Tim Burton is a collection of the famous film director’s personal sketches of monsters and odd creatures. This imaginative collection shows a vast array of concept drawing for many of his most successful films, including Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride, Alice in Wonderland, and many others.
I was fortunate enough to see the art show at the Los Angles County Museum of Art in 2011 (see the last slide above to see part of the show flyer). His art is unlike any other so it was fun to see such a vibrant and unique show. The show traveled around the world through 2013 to many museums around the world. If you weren’t lucky enough to see it, I’d really recommend this book. Tim Burton will be having a new art show at the Neon Museum in Las Vegas which runs October 15, 2019, through February 15, 2020.
